Applications Open for Winter Semester 2026/2027
Page Content
Degree seeking students can now apply to HSD for winter semester 2026/2027.
The application deadline for bachelor's and master's programmes with restricted admission (NC) is 15 July. For study programmes with unrestricted admission, degree seeking students can register until 15 August. In total, HSD will offer 23 bachelor's programmes and 17 master's programmes across seven faculties in the coming winter semester. The winter semester officially begins on 1 September, with lectures starting on 28 September.
HSD offers a wide range of study programmes in the fields of engineering, business, social sciences, media, culture, and design. Many bachelor's programmes do not have admission restrictions, allowing prospective students to start their studies without waiting times.
Some study programmes have special admission requirements. This particularly applies to the study programmes offered by Peter Behrens School of Arts (Faculties of Design and Architecture), which require either an aptitude test or proof of creative design ability. Information on the study programmes and the respective application requirements is available here:
https://www.hs-duesseldorf.de/prospectivestudents/studyprogrammes
.
Applications must be submitted online via HSD eCampus or uni-assist, depending on which procedure applies to the applicant. The provision of the final grade of the higher education entrance qualification is crucial to the application. Study places are allocated after the application deadlines either directly by HSD or, where applicable, through the central admissions procedure operated by Hochschulstart.
More information on application requirements and procedures as well as contact person in case of questions is available here:
