Pick-Up Service

If you would like to make use of our free pick-up service from Düsseldorf Airport or central railway station you should inform the International Office as early as possible giving your name, time of arrival and flight or train number. One of our tutors will pick you up and can also arrange to get the keys to your room in the halls of residence in advance.

The pick-up service can only be offered between 7.00 and 22.00 from Monday to Saturday. The pick-up service cannot be offered between 22.00 and 7.00 and on Sundays or bank holidays.

  • Luggage: Talk to your tutor about the amount of luggage you have.
  • Transfer: Usually your tutor accompanies you to your accommodation by public transport.
  • Airport: Düsseldorf International Airport is very close to the city centre and is well served by public transport. In contrast, (Düsseldorf-)Weeze Airport is used mostly by low-cost airlines and is some distance away from Düsseldorf city. If you are arriving at Weeze, you need to take a shuttle bus from the airport to Düsseldorf’s central train station and our tutor will pick you up from there.

  • Passport / ID card

You are obliged to inform the Residents' Registration Office or the municipal authorities immediately of any change of address and you should also notify them when you finally leave Düsseldorf.
