HSD welcomes new exchange students

73 new exchange students from all over the world begin their semester abroad at HSD during the winter semester 2021/22.

The new “incomings” have been welcomed at HSD with a welcome event on 21 September in the main lecture hall. The event took place in compliance with the “3G-rule” (access only for vaccinated, recovered or negative tested person).

During a subsequent campus tour, the exchange students got familiar with the HSD campus and their faculties. The largest group of exchange students studies at the Faculty of Business Studies, followed by the Faculty of Mechanical and Process Engineering. The Faculty of Architecture, the Faculty of Design and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Cultural Studies also welcome new exchange students.

The exchange students are coming from partner universities in different parts of the world: China, Korea, Mexico, Ghana, Japan, USA, Turkey, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Slovenia, UK, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania and Russia.

In order to provide the new exchange students with all necessary information about their studies and live in Düsseldorf the International Office has organized an orientation week from 21 to 25 September. The programme of the orientation week included a mixture of online information sessions and cultural face-to-face activities.

We wish all exchange students a wonderful time at HSD!
