Each year, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD - Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) makes available funds from the Federal Foreign Office for the DAAD Prize for excellent achievements by international students at German universities. HSD applies to the DAAD every year for this funding.
The aim of the prize is to acknowledge international students who have excelled through outstanding academic achievements and noteworthy social or cultural work.
The DAAD Prize is fixed at € 1.000.
Application deadline for the next DAAD Prize: 30 June
As far as possible, the candidate should be at an advanced stage of his or her Bachelor programme (at least the second or third year of study) or his or her Masters programme (at least the second semester). DAAD scholarship holders, exchange students and foreign nationals with a German school education are excluded from the award.
