Transnational Funding for Innovative Energy Solutions

In times of global warming, sustainable technologies are needed urgently for climate protection. But how to boost product innovation in this field? The project for innovative energy solutions (EnerPRO) aims to answer this question.

EnerPRO supports small and medium-sized enterprises along the German-Dutch border developing energy-saving and low-carbon technology. The project aims to promote resource-efficient technologies and ideas to increase the percentage of renewable energies in the regional energy sector.

HSD is in charge of coordinating the project and Partners from research facilities, associations and organisations in the region around the border help implement it. The participating enterprises can get funds of up to €60.000 for the search of suitable partners in Germany and the Netherlands, concept development, feasibility analysis and development projects. Teams of German and Dutch partners coordinate the operative implementation. The project aims to achieve 17 new solutions within 3.5 years and, thus, to make a tangible contribution to climate protection.

EnerPRO is funded by the European Union, the ministry for economy, innovation, digitalisation and energy of North Rhine-Westphalia as well as the provinces of Gelderland, Limburg and Noord-Brabant.
